Adult Bible Class Fellowships

 Our Adult Bible Classes play a vital role in Biblical instruction, as well as lasting, godly friendships.

Church-Wide Activities

 Several times during the year, we will meet together as a church in recreational activity.

Retreats

 There are planned retreats throughout the year to minister to different parts of our church family.

West Gate is blessed to have quality, Christ-honoring music.  Adults can participate in a variety of music ministries including Adult Choir, Orchestra, Instrumental Offeratories, and Special Groups or Ensembles. 

Nursing Home Ministry
Each month our Adults minister at the West Bay Nursing Home on the third and fourth Sunday. 

Discipleship

The Great Commission given by Jesus Christ to the Local New Testament Church has three vital parts, they are:  To lead people to Jesus Christ, to Baptize those that are saved, and then to teach the Word of God.  Our Discipleship class is for those who have recently trusted Christ as their Saviour, or for those who would like to grow in their walk with Christ.  This class meets at 5:45 pm on Sundays in Room S-7.

Weekly Soul-Winning/Visitation

Every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm, many of the members of West Gate meet together to follow the Biblical command of evangelism.  There is an opportunity each week to go out as a team in door-to-door soul-winning, follow-up visits, visiting those sick and shut-in, or visiting the various members of a particular Bible class.  Most weeks, there is a short lesson on how to effectively share our faith with a world that is in dire need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As a ministry of West Gate Baptist Church, Florida Baptist College exists to train young men and women to carry out the Great Commission through a local church ministry. The desire of FBC is to find Christian young people whose hearts are tender towards the will of God and to prepare them to serve God through solid Bible teaching, academic excellence, and practical ministry experience. FBC’s goal is that its graduates will be spiritually and practically equipped to reach the world for Jesus Christ through the ministries of local, independent, fundamental, Bible-believing Baptist churches.
